Restylane - 'Dermal Filler'
The Restylane and Emervel family of products consists of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance already present in your body. Once in the skin, the filler works by adding volume and fullness to the skin to smooth facial wrinkles and folds.
Restylane and Emervel filler used at Vein and Laser will slowly be absorbed by the body reducing the effect. Fillers are used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds), lines from the corner of the mouth to the jawline (marionette lines) and lines around the lip.
How long does the effect last?
The length of time the effect of a Restylane treatment lasts is very individual and depends on many factors, such as the structure of your skin, the area being treated, lifestyle and age.
Touch-up and follow-up treatments will add to that length of time the filler lasts. Most people choose to have further treatment within a year.
