Skin Tag removal

Skin tags are small brown or flesh-coloured growths that protrude from the surface of the skin. Skin tags are common they are completely harmless. Skin tags can affect anyone and most commonly occur where the skin folds or creases.

They do not usually cause any pain however they can snag on clothing or jewellery and bleed as a result.

Most doctors recommend removal of skin tags only when they are irritated or a source of discomfort, or if they constitute a cosmetic problem. Skin tags can be easily removed by using a small electrode (cautery) that shaves the tag off at the same time sealing the skin. Sometimes a local anesthetic is needed for the skin tag removal.
